![]() FUN! Now, of course you can do this with the internal sounds, but you do it with external sounds too! By default, it transmits MIDI information continually. How about guitar? Some crazy licks! Of course the pitch bender works here too. That’s spot on! You can play blues just via the touch pad here! Ok, what about using a sax sound here instead? Yeah, cool. The scale is set to Dorian now, but you can change it to different scales. Actually there’s a variety of things you can do with Touch Scale. ![]() Very well done indeed! Now, if you press the Touch Scale button… Set the touch pad to Touch Scale… What does that do? Works like a Kaossillator. Of course you can set it however you want. This middle section can be used for lots of things! Press the Control button here… The X and Y axes are set to Filter control. Very well done! Really good! Ok? Next, over here in the middle. This is really useful! Now of course you can set what notes or what chords get played via the PC editor. Hit Chord/Scale and the pads play chords. Now, this button right here, in the Trigger Pad Mode section, it’s set to Note Control now. ![]() Ok, it goes without saying that you can use these for note control. And, forgive me for venturing into technical territory here, first off, let’s take a look at these pads we have here. How about we do something interesting here? Ok, so obviously you can use this as a MIDI keyboard, and as we’ve seen, it comes with sounds installed. Lots of fun! The filter is pretty good on this thing too! Pretty nice, isn’t it? Pretty. See these knobs? Cutoff, volume, resonance, etc. Fantastic! The Triton’s brass sounds are so good, so crisp! What a nostalgic sound. That’s great! Awesome! What a pad! Yeah, nice. Yeah, the Triton excels at this kind of strings sound! It’s a parade of nostalgic sounds! Choir. No qualms about using the Vox name at all eh? Great! Clavinet. Yeah, I used this sound a lot! A very ‘rock’ sounding one here: Vox Organ. And on to the Keyboard group, organ sounds. Ah, I used the Triton electric piano sounds SO much! You can still use these sounds today! Excellent. The little window here shows Acoustic Piano, and you can use this touch pad here to cycle through the sounds. Ah, the Triton sound! Nostalgic! The taktile keyboard itself is very well designed. Group one, the piano/electric piano group. Give the Sound button a push, and in this little window here we can see ‘Sound On’ or ‘Sound Off’ When the Sound button is lit up red, the keyboard will play Triton sounds. Ok then why don’t we check out some Triton sounds? Now, right here we have the Sound button. You can just take it as it is and play Triton sounds with it. And because it’s USB, that can supply power to the unit too. Nothing to shake a stick at! Ok? I’ve got it connected to the computer via USB here, nothing out of the ordinary at all. ![]() Even I used one! And the sounds of the Triton, as they are, are in here! SO, with the sounds of the Triton on board, what we have here is essentially a ‘taktile’ MIDI keyboard that has mated with a Triton, really. ![]() BUT a major point, which I wanna talk about, these red letters here: TRITON! Can’t mention Korg without saying Triton. It just screams “MIDI master keyboard!” I mean there are 8 sliders, 8 knobs, there are buttons here, and drum pads there, and in the middle it has a touch pad… Very good work here, Korg. One of the TRITON taktile’s REALLY interesting features is well, first of all, check out the looks of the thing. Ok? So right now, I’ve got my DAW here, which I was controlling just then, and yeah, this is neat! Uhh, what should I say? With this, a cutting-edge MIDI keyboard has been released.
